RICKEY MEDLOCKE

Master musician and songwriter, Rickey Medlocke, began performing live onstage at the age of 3. He taught himself to play guitar and drums by age 8 and formed the band Blackfoot shortly after high school. He joined his friends in Lynyrd Skynyrd to play on their first recordings as drummer, vocalist, and songwriter - now available as "First & Last - The Complete Muscle Shoals Album".

With Blackfoot "Strikes", Rickey achieved worldwide success as southern rock classics "Highway Song" and "Train, Train" received non-stop radio play. His riff-driven writing style and pure-rock tone has influenced many guitarists beginning with "No Reservations" and "Flyin' High". Now Rickey has rejoined Lynyrd Skynyrd, continuing the tradition as one of the world's greatest rock bands of all time! Check the website for upcoming tour dates!
